Everton have been slapped by another fine by UEFA for the behaviour of their supporters in Europe this season.
The Goodison Park club must pay around £5,000 - after the governing body were unhappy with the conduct of some fans at the UEFA Cup tie against Fiorentina in Italy in March.
One arrest was made following a violent incident between a group of fans and riot police, after the supporters tried to enter the stadium without tickets.
Ian Ross, Everton's head of PR told the Liverpool Daily Post, "The behaviour of our supporters during our UEFA Cup campaign was, on the whole, exemplary.
"But this fine just serves to underline what can happen if a small number of so-called fans decide to let down both themselves and their club."
Everton admitted the facts of the incident but pointed out no club official had witnessed the events in question, while the club also cited the efforts made by them to ensure the game passed off with as little disturbance as possible.
It is the second fine Everton have received for the behaviour of fans during the UEFA Cup campaign, having previously been reprimanded for away fans invading the pitch after the win at SK Brann.
