Everton hero Pienaar: I was nervous about Goodison return

Tottenham midfielder Steven Pienaar admits his first weeks back at Everton couldn't have gone better.

Hugely popular during his initial tenure on Merseyside, Pienaar was delighted to repay the Blues fans for the tremendous welcome he's enjoyed since rejoining.

After the game he declared to evertonfc.com: "It is always great to play at Goodison and I had a warm welcome from the supporters.

"I was a bit nervous but as soon as I got the goal I was more relaxed and it is a great result for the team.

"The feeling is unbelievable. It's my first goal for almost a year in the Premier League so I was going wild and it means a lot to the supporters to score a goal against Chelsea.

"The supporters were terrific last time I was here and the reception before the game was unbelievable."
