Everton hero Barry Horne fears their season could fizzle out.

Everton were dumped out of the FA Cup by Arsenal last week.

Horne told the Liverpool Echo: "Saturday's disappointment runs deeper than just being knocked out of the FA Cup. It emphasises the tailing off we have seen in recent weeks and really puts a full stop on the season.

"It's a season which promised so much but now threatens to fizzle out. It makes you wonder where we are failing."
