Everton hero Heath: Man Utd signing Hernandez just like Solskjaer

Former Everton star Adrian Heath has likened new Manchester United signing Javier Hernandez to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Heath has seen the Chivas striker up close regularly as head coach of American USL side Austin Aztex.

He told the Daily Mail: "I study the Mexican league closely because of the rich seam of talent they have in the country and he has burst onto the scene in the past six months for Chivas and the national side.

"He is known as Chicarito, the Little Pea, but you don't think of him as being small because of how he plays.

"He has great movement, scores plenty in the air from that, and always seems to be able to get a toe on the ball ahead of the defender.

"You'll watch him in games and think ''he's going to score any minute'', the same way you used to with Solskjaer, and sure enough he'll pop up with one.

"There was a big clamour for him to play for the national side but they were reluctant at first because of his age - yet he has come in and scored four in four.

"He won't have any problems handling the crowd either because over here Chivas can get anything from 60,000 to 80,000 for home games - especially if they are playing someone like Club America. The Mexicans are extremely passionate about their football.

"But he will need time to bed in and if there's a good place to do that it is United - because they have the talent in the squad to be patient. I'm sure he'll be a big hit."
