Everton hero Donovan excited facing Man Utd

Everton loan signing Landon Donovan is excited about facing champions Manchester United today.

Having already faced three of the so-called big four during his loan spell with the Blues, the LA Galaxy star will now pit his wits against Three Lions players Wayne Rooney, Michael Carrick, Wes Brown and captain Rio Ferdinand.

"It has been important to play in these games for myself to get the confidence knowing I can play against these players which are some of the best in the world," Donovan told evertonTV.

"And I’m also to get a close look at a lot of players that we see on the TV in the States but we don't see in the flesh on a weekly basis.

"Playing here will have helped a little bit for the World Cup but when it comes down to it we have got to go onto the field and play."
