He said: "I remember we were talking about goalscoring when Duncan said 'when you knock in a few goals at Goodison, then come back to me'.

"He's a great person to look up to and was a big inspiration when I came to Everton along with Alan Stubbs and Lee Carsley.

"They were the lads who said 'If you want to play for this club, you have to realise what it is to be a Blue'. That means playing to the best of your ability and working really hard even when things are not going for you.

"I love being part of this football club and I really believe that we have got a great chance of achieving something great against Arsenal. We'll be really buzzing."
