Everton boss David Moyes is determined to land an attacking signing in the next 48 hours.
The Daily Mail says if a move for Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic fails, Everton will turn to Blackburn Rovers's Junior Hoilett or Kevin Doyle of Wolves, who are interested in signing Newcastle United's Leon Best on loan.
Hoilett is out of contract at the end of the season and Blackburn believe they would receive £4.2m in compensation if he left in the summer. Doyle has fallen out of favour at Molineux but Wolves would be reluctant to let him leave.
