Everton are edging closer to sealing a deal for Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos.

The Times says despite strong interest from Villarreal, Hamburg and Hertha Berlin, Senderos, who is out of contract at Arsenal next summer, wants to move to Goodison Park.

Everton hope to secure a deal in the region of £3 million, although Arsenal were initially looking for double that.
