Everton are wrapping up a deal for River Plate defender Ramiro Funes Mori.

Mori, 24, was expected to join the Toffees last week in an £8m deal.

But the Liverpool Echo reports the fee is much lower, with Everton ready to complete the deal before deadline day.

The centre-half boasts one cap for Argentina but is included in the national team to face Bolivia and Mexico in friendlies next month.
