Leon Osman is on the verge of signing for League OneBolton Wanderers.

The Sun is reporting that the former Everton midfielder is likely to agree terms with the Trotters who are struggling at the minute.

Phil Parkinson's side are winless in their last seven league outings which has seen them fall to eighth position following a dream beginning of four straight victories.

Osman, 35, is a free agent after finishing up at Goodison Park in the summer and had hoped to find a club earlier than now.

Nevertheless, it appears as though he will continue his lengthy career, which was spent entirely with the Toffees apart from a couple of loan spells, at the Macron Stadium.
