Tim Cahill has been named the New York Red Bulls MVP for season 2013.
The Australian international had a stellar campaign in helping the Red Bulls clinch the MLS Supporters' Shield, scoring a total of 12 goals - to claim the team's Golden Boot - and providing six assists from 29 starts.
Cahill, who joined New York from Everton midway through the 2012 campaign, netted five match-winning goals throughout the season and also set the record for the fastest goal in MLS history when scoring inside eight seconds against Houston Dynamo in October.
Cahill was quick to thank the club on his Twitter and Instagram accounts with the following post.
