Everton's Tim Howard says he feels for Bolton's Adam Bogdan after he created history at Goodison Park last night.
The USA international became just the fourth goalkeeper in Premier League history to score when a wind-assisted clearance bounced devilishly over the head of his Trotters counterpart to give the Toffees the lead in the 63rd minute of their eventual 2-1 defeat.
Howard hardly celebrated when the ball hit the back of the net and explained his reasons for not getting too carried away when interviewed post-match.
"It's not a nice place to be. I've been there before, a long, long time ago and that was why I didn't celebrate.
"I was delighted that we were in the lead and would hopefully go on to get three points, but it's not a nice feeling for a keeper, it's really awful actually.""I spoke to him just then and I let him know that I was feeling for him," Howard told Sky Sports.
