Everton goal scorer Neville: I almost forgot Cahill celebration

Everton skipper Phil Neville has explained his goal celebration in victory over Wolves.

Neville's response to the strike was to trot back to the halfway line like the old pro he is - that was until he remembered a conversation he had held with teammate Tim Cahill some time ago.

"I said to Tim that if I scored I would dedicate my goal to him," explained Neville, who mimicked the Aussie's patented boxer's celebration after notching, to evertontv. "And he said there was not much chance of that happening.

"I've been waiting to do that for years. It took me about five minutes to realise what had happened after it had gone in."
