Everton go for Atletico Madrid winger Reyes

Everton are chasing ex-Arsenal winger Jose Antonio Reyes.

The Sunday Mirror says David Moyes believes he can resurrect the 25-year-old's career following a three-year nightmare which has seen Reyes struggle for form and fitness.

The attacking midfielder is available for a cut-price £4million after being told he is surplus to requirements by Atletico Madrid.

The Spanish club are hoping to use Reyes as a makeweight in a deal that would see winger Steven Pienaar move in the opposite direction, but Everton would prefer a straight cash deal.
