Everton fullback Luke Garbutt is delighted with his England U21 call.
Garbutt has previously represented his nation at Under-16 through to Under-20s level, but is yet to make his debut at the Under-21 age group.
"It is great news and I am really pleased," Garbutt told evertonfc.com. "This call-up is like the icing on the cake for my season.
"Personally it has been a good year for me. The loan at Colchester went really well and then I got a few minutes at Southampton to make my Premier League debut.
"I was in the [England Under-21s] squad for the friendly game against Scotland, and to be involved again now is a real honour. I'm proud every time I get called up for my country."
