Everton fullback Coleman: Dunc had big say in Man Utd win

Everton fullback Seamus Coleman admits coach Duncan Ferguson had a big influence on their victory over Manchester United.

The Blues were looking to record two league wins over the Old Trafford outfit in a single season for the first time since 1969/70 - a point not lost on one-time United tormentor Ferguson.

Coleman told evertonfc.com: "Big Dunc told me that before the game.

"He was well wound up for today's [Sunday's] game and said we had a chance of being the first team since then to do it, so it was very important for us.

"Obviously we had a disappointment midweek against Palace and today was probably a must-win game.

"We knew it was going to be difficult but the manager made us forget about Palace very quickly and move on to this, and thankfully we've got three points."
