Everton fullback Leighton Baines has welcomed competition from Lucas Digne.

Digne arrived this summer from Barcelona.

Baines said, "Yeah, it's good. I think the manager said early on we want competition in all the positions.

“It brings an intensity even to training, which will then translate into games I think.

“Everyone's going to be needed, there'll be times when people are going to come out the team and it's what's best for the club."
