Everton fullback Baines: Stracqualursi deserved Chelsea goal

Everton fullback Leighton Baines has hailed the recent form of Denis Stracqualursi.

The Argie struck in victory over Chelsea.

Baines told evertontv: "He deserved it. He's worked so hard over the last couple of months. He's such a great lad around the place. He's like that every day, believe it or not. He works his socks off every single day and I think the lads couldn't be happier for him.

"It's down to hard work as much as anything. As long as you've got that, you give yourself a chance. The fans have took to him because of it and we've took to him because of it.

“He's fitted in nicely and a couple of goals for him now will certainly boost his confidence as well."
