Everton left-back Leighton Baines admits interest from Bayern Munich was "flattering".
Bayern Munich wanted to sign him in the transfer window but Baines, who went to Goodison as a boy, had signed a five-year contract in the summer.
"It was flattering," he told the Sunday Telegraph. "I understand what a massive club Bayern is. At the same time I'd not long signed a new contract. You have to be respectful of those things.
"I don't think the two clubs ever spoke."
