Everton forward Walcott aims for England recall

Everton and England attacker Theo Walcott is hoping that his club form can get him a recall with the national team.

Walcott had a place in the England squad for many years in his career.

But recently, he has fallen out of favour with the national team setup. He had stagnated at Arsenal, where he was not getting regular game time.

Now he is ready for another chance, given his goalscoring form with the Toffees.

"My ambition is to play well for this club, and for this club to achieve what I believed they can when I joined it," he said to The Mirror.

"And then, if I play well, who knows?

"But yes, that's obviously that's one big time for me to get back into the England squad. I haven't been in there for a couple of years and hopefully I get back in. You always want to play for your country. I've got 47 caps and I want that to be a lot more. I've just got to keep it up and see where it takes me."
