Everton forced Man City to cave in over Barry demands

Everton forced Manchester City to back down over their demands for Gareth Barry in the final minutes of transfer deadline day.

The Daily Mail says negotiations over Barry went on close to the deadline, with City finally relenting on their demands for a permanent transfer for the England international, who is in the final year of his contract.

It means Everton are likely to sign Barry permanently for nothing next summer should he impress.
