Everton forced to give up on recall for LA Galaxy ace Donovan

Everton hopes of a recall for LA Galaxy midfielder Landon Donovan have been dashed.

Donovan will not be returning to Everton for the rest of the season.

Three days of talks stopped an MLS players' strike.

Donovan said: "We're proud of what we've accomplished here."
