Benfica youngster Javi Garcia is being tracked by Everton.
The News of the World says the Spain Under-21 international impressed David Moyes during Everton's recent 5-0 Europa League thrashing at the Stadium of Light in Lisbon.
Garcia, 22, joined the Portuguese club from Real Madrid - where he came through the youth team - last summer for £7million but is now valued at around twice that amount.
Moyes has asked his scouts to keep an eye on Garcia, who two years ago was being monitored by rivals Liverpool, for the rest of the season.
