Everton are emerging as favourites for Porto midfielder Yacine Brahimi.
The Mirror says Everton are closing in on Brahimi after more discussions with Porto about the Algerian forward.
Brahimi's Portuguese club rejected the Toffees' opening £25.5million bid and are demanding £35m, because they will have to hand half of any fee to the third party that also has a stake in the 26-year-old.
But Everton are confident a compromise can be brokered and understand Brahimi is open to a move to Goodison Park.
