Everton face paying fortune to rent own training ground

Everton must pay a fortune to cover the rent of their own training ground.

The People says Everton will have to cough up £1.25million a year in rent just to use their own training ground.

Hudson Capital Properties, who own the state-of-the-art Finch Farm facilities, have put them up for sale at £15.3m.

But boss David Moyes won't get a penny from the deal for new players.

A glossy brochure is being sent around to potential investors by the Essex-based owners who bought the plot from Everton for just £2.1m six years ago.

But while wealthy property developer Robert Whitton, an Arsenal fan, bids to make a huge profit on the deal, it is more bad news for Everton supremo Bill Kenwright.

Everton pay an estimated £1.1m a year for Finch Farm, but the brochure states they will now be paying £1.25m annual rent and that rises by a compound 2.5 per cent interest every season.
