Blackburn Rovers are competing with Everton for Heerenveen midfielder Michael Bradley.

The People says Hughes sent chief scout Mike Rigg to see the midfielder's outstanding performance for the USA as they beat Poland.

Bradley, 20, whose dad is the national side's coach, looks set to move to the Premier League from Dutch side Heerenveen in the summer.

And Rovers have the cash to tempt him and see off David Moyes's side.
