Everton are eyeing Manchester United defender Tyler Blackett.

The People says Blackett might be heading to Everton this summer if Roberto Martinez cannot land fellow Old Trafford defender Jonny Evans.

Everton boss Martinez is believed to want Republic of Ireland centre-half Evans with veteran Sylvain Distin, 37, set to leave Goodison Park.

But if he cannot land Evans, who is also a target for Sunderland and Leicester, Martinez will try for 21-year-old Reds defender Blackett on loan.
