Everton are eyeing Espanyol goalkeeper Roberto Jimenez Gago.

The Mirror says Everton are interested in £1m-rated Spanish keeper Roberto - currently on loan at Malaga from Espanyol - as they look to strengthen their squad in January.

Jordan Pickford could require cover with the England goalkeeper enjoying a tough debut campaign for the Toffees.

Roberto has enjoyed spells with Olympiacos and Real Zaragoza and his experience would be welcomed by Sam Allardyce.

The 31 year-old knocked off his career with Atletico Madrid.
