Everton eyeing Celtic's McDonald as AJ replacement

The News of the World says Everton boss David Moyes wants Aussie international McDonald to replace Johnson, but values the former England striker at £10m.

McDonald scored 31 goals last season for the Scottish champions after joining them from Motherwell for £700,000 last summer.

Celtic boss Gordon Strachan could decide to cash in on the 24-year-old striker after completing the signing of Manchester City forward Georgios Samaras.

Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is also keeping a close eye on McDonald and could make a move.
