Everton are eyeing Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck.

The Times says Everton are plotting a move for Welbeck, who is being made available by the Gunners.

Welbeck is inside the final year of his contract and injuries have meant he has only scored 27 goals over four years, although he played 43 games last season.

A move north could suit the former Manchester United striker as he seeks to be closer to family.

Welbeck was part England's World Cup squad this summer.
