Everton have entered into a co-sourcing agreement with Optimum Procurement until 2015, reports SportsPro. The deal will see Optimum work to improve efficiency in all non-playing related spending as the Premier League club looks to stem losses and deliver more from an annual turnover which reached £82 million in May 2011.
The Cheshire-based consultant will aim to improve Everton's procurement and internal processes across a range of areas and will also provide the assistance of its dedicated fleet team.
Everton chief executive Robert Elstone said: "Everton's history shows that we are often first to implement new ideas and thinking both on and off the pitch. This co-sourcing initiative with Optimum Procurement reinforces our determination to continue that trend and enhance our procurement capability and supply market leverage with a leading procurement service provider."
