Everton defender Phil Jagielka didn't notice any change from Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney while away with England.
Rooney scored England's first goal in a 3-1 win in Switzerland on Tuesday, his first from open play since injuring an ankle on Champions League duty in March.
Jagielka said: "He's done what he's put in the team for and he created some good chances as well, but he was there, the right man at the right time to slot in the opener.
"I don't really have an in-depth view of how he's been feeling. I'm not exactly best of friends with Wayne but he seems his normal self."
