Everton defender Phil Jagielka was impressed by their young players.
Two of the youngsters on this tour, Ross Barkley and Conor McAleny have both impressed, according to the England international.
"It is fantastic to have them with us," he told evertonfc.com.
"Ross has been injured and I think he would have featured a little bit sooner. He has come back from his leg-break and he is going to have a bright future. He set up Billy's goal and always looks for a forward pass.
"It was nice for Conor to get on," continued Jagielka. "I have played against him quite a few times in training and he has done really well.
"Sometimes the young lads come on tour and sort of make up the numbers and don't get much game time. It is nice for the gaffer to give them a decent run out and they will go home excited."
