Everton defender Jagielka happy to get around town in his Mini

Despite his Premiership wages, Everton defender Phil Jagielka is happy to get around Liverpool in his Mini Cooper!

He told evertonfc.com: "I've still got the Mini Cooper and it's great. I don't have any problems fitting in it, either, as they are actually quite roomy inside. It has always done for me and I don't see any reason for changing just because I'm in the Premier League now.

"I'm the only one who drives it. My wife uses the Range Rover for ferrying the kids to school and stuff like that, and the arrangement works well. She makes sure I stay fairly grounded, though the lads at Everton have helped as well.

"Our recent Blues success is at least partly down to the fact there are no big-time Charlies round the place. There are one or two who like to spend their money on nice clothes and such like but there is no-one who thinks he's any better than anyone else.

"There aren't too many who come in here being flashy or up themselves. I have been fortunate so far to have played for two clubs where there haven't been too many Flash Harrys."
