Everton defender Jagielka happy to break scoring drought in Newcastle win

Everton defender Phil Jagielka was delighted to score in victory at Newcastle United.

The England international truck in the crucial 2-1 win.

Jagielka, whose last goal was against Standard Liege in October 2008, told evertontv: "It has been a long time coming. I nearly missed it but thankfully it went in off the underside of the bar.

"But all credit goes to the ball in from Bainesy, he made it easy enough for me to stick a leg out!"
