Everton defender Phil Jagielka is ready to shout himself an England place.
Jagielka says he is willing to become more vocal to try to secure a place in Roy Hodgson's starting XI for the forthcoming friendlies.
"That's something I have had to develop and learn over the past five or six seasons at Everton," said Jagielka.
"I am quite vocal on the pitch, so it comes as a natural progression to have that role in the team.
"The first job is to get myself in the starting XI. If I can do that, I will try and play the way I have done as captain at Everton. I do enjoy that. Once I am comfortable in a place, I am quite a loud person anyway. It comes quite naturally to me.
"If you ask my central defensive partners and full backs, they will probably tell you I try to talk as much as possible.
"It just depends who is around me and whether I can breathe or not. If the manager does see me that way, it is a fantastic compliment."
