Everton defender Duffy thrilled with Ireland call

Everton defender Shane Duffy has won a call-up to the Republic of Ireland squad.

The 20-year old has impressed since being recalled from a loan spell at Scunthorpe United, deputising for the injured Sylvain Distin in the games against Tottenham, Aston Villa, Blackburn and Fulham.

Duffy tweeted: "Buzzing that I've been called up to the senior squad! Thanks for all the tweets everyone dream come true!"
