Everton defender Sylvain Distin has offered advice to Newcastle United's French players.
The Everton ace had some words of warning for Alan Pardew's new French recruits at Newcastle.
Distin, in an interview with France Football, said: "The best way of becoming a flop over here is trying to live the French way in England. If I have one piece of advice, I'd say adapt quickly and forget previous habits.
"When I first arrived at Newcastle I felt some resistance from guys like Alan Shearer, Gary Speed and Rob Lee. They were the senior players, who wanted to preserve certain values specific to English football.
"It was in my interest to adapt pronto, or else I would soon have been discarded."
