Everton fans will be delighted at the news that right-back Seamus Coleman has made his long awaited return from a leg fracture for the under-23 side.
Coleman has been out of action since the injury he suffered in March 2017, where he broke his leg in two places for the Republic of Ireland against Wales. It was a devastating injury for the 29-year-old, who has never been out of action for this long.
But it appears that Coleman is fully recovered, and ready to take on the next challenge of his career – getting back into the Everton side.
His return is welcome news for manager Sam Allardyce, who is bidding to ensure that Everton have a good finish to the season and cement a top half position.
Coleman featured in Everton's U23 game against Portsmouth, where he played for 58 minutes before being subbed off.
