Everton have dismissed claims they have agreed a £2million fee for Al Ittihad's Egyptian striker Emad Meteb, who was on the verge of joining Bristol City in the summer.

The club say they have no knowledge of a visit to Goodison Park Meteb's agent, Mohamed Hamid, claimed the player had made.
