Everton crock James Vaughan has suffered a new setback.
Vaughan's trip for a knee operation in America has been called off as renowned surgeon Dr Richard Steadman has a broken arm.
Blues boss David Moyes said: "Obviously there is the option for him to have it done here - there are plenty of surgeons.
"But he chose to go to see Dr Steadman because he trusts him after the last operation but, unfortunately, he's had a complication.
"We knew Dr Steadman had a broken arm but it's turned out to be quite serious and we didn't know that before James had left.
"It's going to have an impact on how much longer he is going to be out. At the minute we've no idea when the operation will be done."
