Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell faces missing out on Team GB selection for the London Olympics due to his injury problems.

The Liverpool Daily Post says Rodwell is expected to miss the remainder of the season after suffering a hamstring tear during training earlier this month.

A succession of niggling injuries have restricted Rodwell to just 218 minutes of action since making his full England debut against Sweden in November.

Rodwell has been booked in to visit world-renowned specialist Hans Muller-Wohlfahrt in Germany to assess the problem, with Everton last month revealing the 21-year-old would undergo a series of tests on his nervous system to help ascertain the root cause of his problems.
