Everton are eyeing a £15million move for Sunderland centre-back Lamine Kone, according to the Daily Mail.
Toffees boss Ronald Koeman is in search of a reliable and proven centre-back in the transfer market and has identified Kone as a potential target.
The 27-year-old impressed for the Black Cats last season as he helped them avoid relegation after signing from French club Lorient in January.
The Merseysiders, who are expected to lose John Stones this summer, also maintain an interest in Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly but see Kone as a more affordable option.
