Birmingham City striker Nikola Zigic is being linked with Everton.
The Daily Mail says Everton would like a target-man striker. Manager David Moyes is a big admirer of Tottenham's Peter Crouch and has tried to sign him several times but to little avail.
Everton's well-known budget restrictions make if difficult for Moyes to compete when it comes to attracting big name players on big wages. It means he has to scour further and sometimes hope he can make a similar style of player work for him.
Zigic fits the bill as a possible stand-in for Crouch but really lacked the aggression required for the Premier League last season.
