Everton aim to make two major signings in the coming days.

The Daily Star Sunday says Everton are set to splash £24million on two players – Dynamo Kiev winger Andriy Yarmolenko and River Plate centre-back Ramiro Funes Mori.

But the double swoop will increase the feeling that England defender John Stones will eventually join Chelsea for £40m.

Ukraine star Yarmolenko, 25, will cost £18m and Everton are applying for a work permit for Mori, 24, who has one cap for Argentina.

He is available for £6m but that deal won't end Everton's search for another centre-back.
