Everton reserves coach Alan Stubbs says Marcus Hahnemann has made a big impact since his arrival.
The former Wolves goalkeeper joined as a free agent last month.
"Since Marcus has come in he's been great with the younger players in the team," Stubbs told evertonfc.com. "He's a stabilising comfort for the lads at the back. He's very reliable, he's a very good talker and he made a great save at the end which could have made it a bit nervy for the younger boys.
"It's nice to have someone of that experience in the rearguard for us. He played a big part and he'll be worth his weight in gold for those boys at the back."
