Everton coach Stubbs delighted with Vaughan comeback

Everton coach Alan Stubbs was delighted to see James Vaughan make his comeback in this week's 0-0 draw with Sunderland reserves.

"It's great to see Vaughany back," Stubbs told evertonTV. "It's a bonus for him and hopefully for Everton as well. He'll need a few games to get back to where he wants to be, but the fact that he got 60 minutes on Wednesday will do him no harm at all.

"The overall performance probably deserved a draw. You can see them starting to learn and from that point of view it's pleasing.

"Sunderland have a good group of players and they seemed to have a good understanding, so to get a result is positive."
