Everton academy boss Ray Hall admits they're delighted with the progress last season of Jack Rodwell.

"We are all delighted with his progress and we'd be silly to say anything different," Hall told evertonTV. "He's a level-headed young man, he's got a lot to do, but he's going the right way.

"We kind of thought from a very early age that if everything went the right way with Jack, then he could be here long time and be a big player for Everton Football Club.

"But in a funny kind of way, and I mean this in the friendliest way, Jack's gone now, and we have to find the next one."
