Breaking the market in India is in Everton's plans, says their chief executive Robert Elstone. He said: "India is an emerging football market and to be invited to speak and talk about Everton to that group of people was a good opportunity for us.
"I think it's very important that we expand the Everton brand to worldwide audiences. We have to be mindful of the ability to grow our Club, to grow our fan base and ultimately to grow revenues that we can pass on to the manager.
"I don't think anybody at the Club is under any illusions that we can press a button and all of a sudden become an international brand. We already have an international profile, but there are a lot of clubs ahead of us on that front."
