Real Madrid midfielder Rafael van der Vaart says he won't be returning to Ajax in January, but admits he could still be leaving when the market reopens.

Van der Vaart remains a target for Everton boss David Moyes, while Chelsea have also been linked.

"In principle I find it too early (to return) and I say no," Van der Vaart told De Telegraaf when asked about returning to Ajax.

"I do not know if I will stay at Real Madrid, but there are other options."
